CheeseburgerGirl # 69. The very first one with a "window" and stuff inside. Artificial food. The milkshake spilling down the neck was an idea of the guitar owner Jon. Thanks so much for all the info, Jon!
Cheeseburgergirl! The Toggle says: With ... without. Without what, Chris?
Cheesburger Girl. Great inlay! The owner Jon wanted this milkshake to be spilled.
Girlbrand Wafflegirl. Almost the same inlay only that something else was spilled here. Sirup?
Girlbrand Wafflegirl. Yummy
Girlbrand Hulagirl. A shame we can`t see this inlay since I can`t enlarge the picture. I HATE computers!
Girlbrand, same Junglegirl, different light
Girlbrand. Look at this switch. Rocketscience? No words around the toggle here. An early model?
Girlbrand Uraniumgirl. Jon informed me that the top was made of a material that was slightly radioactive. Wow! Don`t let the the "axis of evil" get access to one of these evil axes!
Girlbrand another Kanjigirl

See more pictures and read interesting infos about Chris Larsen and his work on his website.
Detail of another Kanjigirl. The toggle says "debu"....and ...."yase". That means "fat" and "thin" in Japanese. Jon informed me that some character here says "Rock`n`Roll" and one says "Bob".
Kanji Girl. I was told the fretboard inlay says : "Rock`n`Roll" in Japanese.

Girlbrand Rodeogirl fretboard
Girlbrand Rodeogirl. Looking at the inlay this must be another one ...!?!?
The Inlays on this Rodeo Girl were last seen at the 2015 Holy Grail Guitar Show in Berlin. they are diffent from the inlays above. But is the body the same? Chris` Girls keep confusing us ...
2015 Rodeo Girl 3rd fret inlay
2015 rodeo girl 5th fret inlay
2015 Rodeo Girl 7th fret inlay
2015 rodeo girl 9th fret inlay
2015 Rodeo Girl 12th fret inlay
Unfortunately I haven`t found any other photos of this great inlay work on "Rodeo Girl"... the guitar which is probably the
very last Gi rlbrand guitar that Chris has sold until 2015.
Chris says he built "at least five, not more than seven RodeoGirls". A
nd Chris says:
I’m afraid that as time goes on I am becoming a very poor source of information on
my own guitars. Maybe I should
try deep hypnosis with a stenographer to make a record in case history becomes interested?
A very good idea, Chris!
History IS interested!
Sadly, as far as is known to mankind today Chris doesn`t build any new "Girls" anymore.
This is Rodeo Girl at the 2015 Holy Grail Guitar Show in Berlin were she was sold. At left in the background you can see Chris` friendly grin.
Girlbrand Rodeogirl. ANOTHER ONE! This is Girlbrand # Fifty-something. Sold preowned early in 2015 by rebel-guitars.com
UPDATE from January, 6th, 2015
The very last Girlbrand guitar he owned - Remorse Girl - was sold by Chris Larsen in november 2014 at the
"Holy Grail Guitar Show" in Berlin,
Soon after that rebel-guitars.com in the USA offered two preowned Girls for sale:
Rodeogirl and Dinergirl and they were sold very quickly.
Today they are already gone.
Wes from Rebel-Guitars is currently also the only dealer worldwide who sells Chris Larsen`s new guitars, the M9
Mark 5 Models.

Girlbrand French Girl.
Girlbrand Frenchgirl: Fate or chance? Both in the middle position.
Girlbrand Frenchgirl. trussrod
The top is a reproduction of a fabric design from the 20`s by Arp or Cocteau or one of those French boys (hence FrenchGirl), that I had silkscreened onto
a sheet of galvanized steel. This acted as a resist to the acid that ate away the zinc and left the positive design (the silver = zinc). The exposed steel was then treated with chemical to
accelerate rusting and left outside for a while in the rains to deteriorate ... it`s kind of a pain in the butt to do."

Girlbrand French Girl. very rare headstock!
DevilGirl 1 has one of these rare headstocks too ...but ...
...she`s not so well at the moment with her guts gone astray.... Click on the picture to see more of "Devil Girl" and her twin (not siamese) sister "Devil Girl with Bones"
Girlbrand Santo Girl. Foto by Cris Larsen who obviously likes to mess with "Photoshop"
interestingly many Girlbrands seem to have two different names. This is "Frontier Girl" but most likely it is the same guitar as the one pictured above that was once called "Santo Girl"
Girlbrand ...is it Santo Girl or Frontier Girl? Here with Photoshop ...
...here without Photoshop. The paler rider. Foto by owner Jerry
Frontier Girl /Santo Girl
personally I think all Girl Brand guitars are sacred!

Girlbrand This lefty could be another Speedboatgirl, I`m not sure...Reverse Speedboatgirl?
Oh my God: Sushi Girl! Henry, if you ever want to sell this one ... click 2 enlarge!
Girlbrand Sushigirl. Fake food sushi and look at this pickguard! Still with the old neck/inlay...
Girlbrand Sushigirl. Note that this must be an earlier state: The guitar has a different neck/fretboard. Since owner Henry Kaiser is a maritime biologist he must have convinced Chris Larsen to replace this neck by the one with the squid...
This Kanjigirls is older than the Sushi Girl and had the same inlay saying "Rock `n`Roll" in Japanese.
Girlbrand Sushigirl fretboard. I just can`t believe this! The new neck /inlay

This must be the most spectacular Girl Brand guitar owned by Henry Kaiser:
Henry agrees that Chris Larsen and Michale Spalt of Totem guitars are the most interesting luthiers.
And Henry seems to like squids.

Girlbrand Shopgirl ... but NOW she is dressed!!! Have I mentioned that Chris is a genius?
Girlbrand Hollywoodgirl (Marilyn Monroe) Click to enlarge!
Girlbrand Hollywoodgirl. Wasn`t MM nude on this Playboy centerfold? Hopefully it works like Shopgirl above and there is a trick how you can undress her...
The toggle ring says it all.
Girlbrand Hollywoodgirl fretboard. The Headstock girl has an unusual hairstyle!
THIS is the regular hairstyle on the regular girl on the regular Girlbrand headstock.
Girlbrand Marble Girl. The black headstock is one of a kind. The label says "Bad Girl" and even has a dove inlay. Totally unique for a Girlbrand guitar. Photo by Brian Gallagher.

Drawing by Chris Larsen

Chris Larsen is the most original and creative genius in the guitar building world next to Michael Spalt of Totem
guitars. His right hand`s pinky nail alone is more creative than all of the big custom shops together.
That he has stopped building guitars like these proves two things.
1. There is no god.
2. Chris is ahead of his time, too good for this world and especially too good for the constantly backwards looking
average guitar joe, who doesn`t deserve Chris` work.
